First Run is Tisch's annual festival of student films — the premiere platform where NYU's next generation of directors, cinematographers, editors, and producers screen work for industry audiences in New York. The festival caps a production year in which hundreds of student crews shoot across the city, supported by Tisch's sound stages and equipment programmes, and has historically previewed talents who went on to define American independent cinema.
